This was a great lesson. I find myself already using many of the suggested strategies and also learned new things to add to my teacher toolbox. I can visualize which past student of mine fits into what category or categories. I love the idea of checking in with the parents. As a mom, I can name this to my children because of my training and background but lay people don't see it. I've noticed when expressing my own shtick to my children they respond compassionately and with more understanding.
